Some parts of the filter are washable, but strictly those that are marked so. However, even the washable filters need to be replaced after 3-5 washings, as their efficiency decreases due to these really tiny particles being impossible to remove perfectly. With that said, a washable HEPA-filter can still be used significantly longer than its non-washable counterpart.
