If the gross price of a durable good is more than 10000HUF giving a warranty card is obligatory. Duration should be at least 12 months, but for some product categories the minimum is 24 months (e.g. Air Conditioner).
There are some categories where it is necessary to provide a warranty card below 10000HUF as well – such are vacuum cleaners or irons, for example.
In case of goods below 10000HUF with no obligatory warranty, the vendor may give warranty in its own responsibility that may last for 3 months 36 months or else.
Limited warranty may apply for products with no obligatory warranty.
